All The Fall Feels - For Your Shower

Oh, hello there!

We squeezed every last drop of summer out of the tube – splashing in the waves, picnicking in the parks, and chasing the ice cream truck like it would never end. I usually hate turning the page on summer’s fun and frolicking, but right about now, I’m a bit sweaty and cranky from the repeated heat waves. I find myself craving the cooler temps and structured days of early fall.

Autumn tip toes in, flipping the switch on both the lights and the thermostat. The dwindling hours of sunlight make it even more exquisite – perfect sun rays dappling through the golden trees, and ending the day with ever more gorgeous sunsets. We head inside to the comforts of home, the contentment of well-worn routines, and the tranquility of quiet evenings. Warm socks, cozy sweaters and spiced cider are just some of autumn’s snuggly pleasures. Like the biggest pile of leaves on the block, let’s jump in and revel in it!

AUTUMN SEASONAL SOAPS

We all realize the only constant in life is change. Rather than resist change, at Soapworks Studio we’ve decided to embrace it – consciously and thoughtfully re-creating some of our products to reflect each season's special magic. These unique soaps are only available for a few short months and when sold out, are gone until next year. This year’s Autumn Harvest soaps are loaded with our favorite fruits, spices, and comforts, taking the best of the season and celebrating the bounty. ( $6 ea)

CRANBERRY APPLE MARMALADE – An all time favorite - tart cranberry and juicy red apple, a squeeze of sweet mandarin orange, and sprinkled with just a pinch of sugared cinnamon spice. A soft red colored bar, it’s brightly fruity and the perfect fall seasonal scent.

CAMPFIRE & CEDAR: There is nothing more cozy than sitting around a crackling fire, warming your toes, watching the flames flicker. This comfy, pleasant fragrance is a beautiful blend of blonde woods, white musk, cedar tips, spice notes, and tendrils of incense. A pretty green bar with herby flecks in it, this soap smells earthy, clean and welcoming. Natural woods meets soapy fresh – this one is kinda irresistible and sexy.

RED ROSE & SPICE: An elegant blend of dark red rose, amber, orange zest, vanilla orchid and cinnamon - beautiful and sophisticated, like you’d find in a fancy boutique hotel. It’s equal parts floral and spice, alluring and opulent, in a rich pink color.

ZANZIBAR CINNAMON: A fresh, exotic take on a cinnamon spice blend. In a nod to Zanzibar, the island of ancient spice trade routes, this fall fragrance is primarily cinnamon spice and bark, notes of clove and allspice for depth, with blonde woods for a soft base, and tropical blossoms of jasmine add a fresh, pretty lightness. The result is pure spice, slightly mysterious, yet ultimately clean and inviting. So, so good – in a way that literally everyone will love.

AUTUMN AROMATIC SPRAYS

Several of our aromatic sprays are perfectly suited to add a festive and cozy air to your home this season. Unlike potpourri or candles, these sprays can be used to scent table linens, a quilt in a guest room, freshen bathrooms and closets, spritz a note card or gift box, and a million other ways too. Can you feel it? The holidays and the season of gift giving is just around the corner. And what feels even better than receiving gifts . . . is the GIVING of gifts! Science has even proven it – the good feels we get when we share something or do something for someone else is neurotransmitters in your brain lighting up. Oxytocin (the love hormone) is triggered, giving us a sense of belonging, which lingers longer than the momentary pleasure.

Human beings are hard wired to be generous and take care of each other. Doing something kind, helping someone out, giving to charity, and yes, giving little tokens of happiness to somebody who needs a lift – these are the small acts that give us joy. Can something as simple as gifting a bar of really good soap really make your day? Yes! If I’ve learned anything over the years from reading your notes, it’s that sharing your favorite things with friends, family, your kid’s teacher – it’s a win-win and everyone gets to feel good. And if it smells yummy and makes their skin feel great day after day? Does it get any better than that? A bottle of wine only lasts an evening. A bar of soap lasts for weeks.
