April showers
Hello hello!
After months of atmospheric rivers and blustery winds, we're turning the page on the calendar to April and POW - a patch of blue sky shows up. Suddenly it's a sunny, warm day. April can be a wild ride of every kind of weather, but it's all barreling down the path of SPRING!. Flowers are beginning to blossom, trees are bursting into green, and the sheer beauty of it all makes the heaviness of the world just a little lighter. For me, getting my hands in the dirt, planting tiny seeds and sprouts that will soon be pretty blooms, herbs and juicy tomatoes makes my heart sing. What are you doing this month to keep yourself happy and healthy?

Catch the spring seasonal scents before they're gone! Spring Equinox, Sweet Dreams, Jasmine Honeysuckle, Lilac Garden, and Tahitian Petals are all in stock waiting to add a little flower power to your April showers. Fresh and pretty, they're on the menu for just another month, fading away as we splash into summer. If one of those tickled your fancy, hoard a few now.
Just arrived! New spring and summer patterns of the Swedish dish cloths. I’ve restocked inventory - the green owls and pink daisies are back! And I found some new adorable patterns: happy yellow and pink blooms, pretty chive blossoms, seagulls at the sea, and blue birds on a wire.
You all know how much I love using these for any kind of cleaning or spills. They grab so much more liquid than a paper towel, dry way quicker than a sponge, and can be tossed in the washer to clean up and re-use over and over. Seriously, you can’t get more efficient and eco-friendly than that. Plus they are just plain cute.
MOTHER'S DAY IS COMING SOON!
Plan ahead for Mom! Sunday, May 14 is Mother's Day, a special day of appreciation and gratitude for everything your Mom does for you. There's always brunch and flowers, of course, but maybe sneak in a small gift of something she can pamper herself with for longer than the day. Might I suggest beautiful handmade soap? I've got so many gift ideas - collections of soaps, sprays and accessories too, many of them in pretty gift bags, or boxed up with ribbons, all ready to go. SUMMER ON THE WAY
The first of May is when I announce my summer menu. I've got some really fun new scents in the Helping Hand mini soap sets (ready for a vacay?). And I've got some brand spanking new scents that I'm excited about also. Hold onto your hats. It's right around the corner.
I've been fascinated lately in genealogy shows like "Finding Your Roots." It's a reminder that no matter how challenging we think life is right now, or that we're going through epic difficult times, our ancestors throughout history lived through unimaginably hard circumstances. Humans are tough, resilient and creative, and somehow things work out in the end. Often they even get a whole lot better.
Take the time you need for yourself - to rest, to do the things that make you happy, to care for your health, and to laugh. Nobody knows how this story turns out or when it ends. One day at a time, one step at a time, gently, with kindness, we will keep this boat afloat.
