Have you noticed? It's cherry blossom time! And depending on where you are, maybe magnolias, crab apples, all kinds of spring flowering trees. They are bursting out all over (sorry allergy sufferers) and it's really such a lovely time of year. It just takes a little warming up, a little sunshine, mixed with a little or a lot of rain, for Mother Nature to turn the page and throw a spring party!

April is peak month for so many spring flowering somethings - tulips, wisteria, dogwood, azaleas, it's magnificent!

It's time to get outside and take in the miracles of nature. Spending even a few short minutes to focus on the beauty of the world around is the antidote to all the chaos on our screens. Our stressed out nervous systems need a break from all the noise. And the solution is just outside the window, sitting right under our noses, beckoning us with beautiful smells and pretty flowers. Spring is the perfect reminder that we are intimately connected to nature in all it's wisdom and beauty, constantly changing, always growing, imperfectly perfect.

I do realize that writing about spring flowers, pretty soap and carrying on as if the world isn't a dark and scary place right now seems a little tone deaf. And I wrestled with that a little. Ultimately though, I have to continue doing what I do, as best as I possibly can, and bring a bright spot of cheer to both your inbox and your showers. I'm grateful to have all of you in my boat with me as we navigate the rough seas ahead.
