Bugger Off Is Back!
That holiday weekend we just had? For most of us, that's the real kick start to the summer season. It's totally ON now. We can wear those white pants without fear. And get busy with all our hot weather fun activities. Nothing to do but cha-cha straight on through the next few months doing some of this stuff:
With all those warm evenings and outdoor shindigs, there's bound to be bugs. Yep, those pesky mosquitos are already out.
Most insect repellants on the market are loaded with toxic chemicals, including the pesticide DEET, which is so poisonous that even the Environmental Protection Agency says you should wash it off your skin when you return indoors, avoid breathing it in, and not spray it directly on your face. If it's killing mosquitos, you can assume it's going to harm other kinds of life too, and at the very least, not be that healthy for humans either.
Fortunately it's not that hard to keep the pests away in a natural way. Bugger Off to the rescue! It's my version of all-natural bug repellent spray, and it's received raves and testimonials for years and years. I've only offered seasonally, and I just wanted to let you, my treasured insiders, know that it's now available and up on the site for purchase.
I'll have it with me at Sorticulture this month, but probably not at the rest of my summer shows. (It's a bit outside the box of the other aromatic sprays and distracting to explain all day long.) But if you're planning on heading to a specific show and want me to bring some for you, I'm delighted to do that - just give me a holler.
It's a 100% natural essential oil blend of cedar, orange, eucalyptus and bay leaf in a water based spritzer. It works best if you can spray your clothes and hair a bit, because the scent will last longer on you. Clean and woodsy smelling, it won't repel the people you're hanging with either - just the bugs. Works great on mosquitos, fleas too. Being a higher concentration of oils, this spray is just a tad higher priced than my usual room sprays - $6.95 / 4 oz bottle. Safe for the whole family - kids too!
