Summer 2016 Newsletter
Hip, hip hooray - announcing all the new summer seasonal treats! Below is the newsletter that just went out to inboxes everywhere. And I just didn't want you to miss it!
"Nothing is more memorable than a smell. One scent can be unexpected, momentary and fleeting, yetconjure up a childhood summer beside a lake in the mountains." - Diane Ackerman
Hi Ho Happy Campers!
Summertime . . . and the living is easy. There’s no hustle, no rush on a bright blue summer morning, just a slow easing in to a perfect day. Summer is to be savored slowly, with all of your senses. The freedom of sandy toes in flip-flops, the icy cool shiver of a frosty drink, the busy hum of lawnmowers and bees, the sultry scent of sun tan oil, and the breath-taking beauty of the sun setting just beyond the waves.
As a kid, there was nothing better than summer. We dreamed and planned all year, waiting with breathless anticipation for that first day of freedom. All grown up now, those childhood memories come flooding back -- jars of twinkling fireflies, dripping ice cream cones, bike parades, and bonfires under a full moon. Picnics and road trips and outdoor movies, what is your favorite summer memory?
Cool, refreshing, and light - that’s what you’re looking for on a hot summer day. We wanted to make your summer splashing simple and fresh, so we’ve come up with a few new soap scents that you can’t live without. These unique soaps are only available for the next few months and are made in limited production. ($4.50 each)
Beach House – After a few seasons, this little number has quickly become the most beloved soap of summer. A dreamy blend of salty ocean air, pretty lavender, and green herbs - this scent is clean and light as a breeze. With a Zen-like calm, its soothing marine fragrance and beautiful translucent sea glass color transports you directly to the spa. If I had a little seaside cottage, I’d have piles of these in every room.
Eucalyptus Leaf – This classic leafy green scent is cooling, energizing, and light – a perfect scent for refreshing yourself on hot summer days. Eucalyptus oil is antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antiseptic, giving this soap natural deodorant properties, and speedy healing for problem skin too. It’s a gorgeous sprout green color, made with alfalfa leaf. (100% natural)
Jasmine Lemon – You know that golden oldie song, “Summer Breeze”? The lyrics are “sweet days of summer, the jasmine’s in bloom . . . summer breeze, makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind.” It got me thinking about the heavenly night-blooming jasmine vine that elegantly climbs and drapes itself all around my little patio during warm summer evenings. It’s one of my favorite scent memories, and the reason why I wanted to bring back this fragrance. It’s been a spring seasonal in the past and continues to be an aromatic spray favorite. Pale lemon chiffon colored and pretty as can be, it’s sweet jasmine blossoms at their most fragrant, perfectly paired with a splash of sunny lemonade.
Summer is the perfect season to indulge in one of the aromatic sprays. Keep a bottle in the fridge for a little spritz of icy cool on your neck or décolletage. Spray a little bit of happy on your summer sundresses, fresh sheets, steamy car seats, or stinky dog. This superhero stuff goes anywhere and everywhere, making the world smell a little more beautiful, one squirt at a time. (4 oz bottle, $6.00)
Beach House – A match to the soap, it’s a dreamy blend of salty ocean air, pretty lavender and green herbs, clean and light as a breeze. Calming, cooling and ultimately fresh, it can take your hot, stuffy, anything directly to the beach in one spritz.
Coconut Lemongrass – started out as a seasonal scent but it’s been so darn popular that we have it on the regular menu all year. Summer is the time to truly bask in it! Tropical creamy coconut with a squeeze of tart lemon, you’ll be dreaming of Piña Coladas, and poolside with an umbrella drink in your hand within seconds.
The arrival of summer means a “hot” new season of outdoor street fairs and art festivals. I’ve got an exciting season planned and looking forward to meeting and seeing you all at the par-tay.
