October Spooktacle

Greetings earthlings,

Let's flip the calendar page shall we? Yikes! It's OCTOBER already. When Halloween and Christmas duke it out in the shopping aisles trying to tempt you with their piles of cute stuff. And fall has hit the ground running, blowing storms and even snow (!) in a lot of places.

We're baking apple treats, simmering soup, sneaking plastic spiders into unlikely spots, and rummaging for sweaters and socks. But also cooking up a couple extra soaps for this month's menu.

Fall blows in quickly, storms around a little bit, drops all its leaves in a puddle, and then whistles it's way out the door so fast that in a blink winter is already knocking on the door. Next month pumpkins are out, egg nog is in, and we're all caught up in the ho ho ho-ing of the next bunch of holidays.

Our Autumn Harvest menu of soap scents captures the best of the season: Fig & Lemon, Cinnamon Orange, Eucalyptus, and Coconut Orange Cardamom. Don't procrastinate - you'll kick yourself if you wait too long and they sell out.

OCTOBER SPECIALS

We've cooked up a couple of special new soap scents in even more limited production just for this month. There is no way to celebrate autumn without a bit of pumpkin. PUMPKIN GINGERBREAD SOAP combines the best of everything pumpkin and spice. We’ve taken classic gingerbread - full of ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla and dark rum - then blended itbeautifully with fresh pumpkin, literally. A scoop of fresh organic pumpkin puree is in the recipe, for loads of skin nourishing vitamins and nutrients. A treat for both your skin and your senses.

And for my NO SCENT people, I've made a batch of UNSCENTED OATMEAL GOAT MILK SOAP. No color either - it's a very plain jane soap, a no-scent version of our Oatmeal & Goat Milk soap.

Creamy and moisturizing goat milk soap with ground oatmeal in the base for soothing any irritation or sensitivity. This is the ultimate facial or beauty bar, and for some of you - the ONLY soap you can use on your sensitive skin. (100% natural, no color, no scent, no preservatives)

WINTER HOLIDAY ON THE WAY

The fall season is our shortest - although the autumn treats will still be around for the next month or two. But holiday shopping goes full tilt once we head into November, so we're going to introduce our Winter Holiday menu at the beginning of next month.
